Introduction- The long string of adjective that adorn Shah Rukh Khan is certainly a testimony of the years of Hardwork and struggle that the actor has put together to achieve the pinnacle of success. Shah Rukh has always been known as an professional actor working solely and to any length for the success of his roles. The most decorated actor in terms of awards no actor stand ahead of the Badhshah of Bollywood expect after the great actor of all times Dileep Kumar. A lot has been said and written about him but he continues to remain the best entertainer of all time.

Shah Rukh’s Early life and Family- Shah Rukh was born to Mir Taj Muhammad Khan and Lateef Fatima on the 02nd November 1965. His parents are of Afghani descent. Shahrukh has all the long stated that he is half Hyderabad after his mother and half Kashmiri after his dad. His father serves as an activist in the Indian freedom struggle. Shah Rukh has always acknowledge the strong bond which he shared with his father and mother and was bereaved at his father’s passing away at the age of 15 and  his mother death who also wished her son to get an award but never lived to see the day. Khan attended St. Columbus School and then Hansraj College. Though he pursued a Masters degree in Mass Communication he left it to pursue a career in films and Bollywood. His early days were those of a struggle and he suffered and sustained after the self set example of Dileep Kumar. He married Gauri, a Hindu and the couple has two children Aryan and Suhana. Shah Rukh always insisted that his children should follow both religions.

Shah Rukh Khan Career-  To know Shah Rukh better one must trace the years that he trained under Barry John in theatre was the only formal training in  acting. Shah Rukh Khan was determined to make a name for himself in the bollywood films industry and made his debut with Fauji (1988) which was a television serial that was produced by Doordarshan. His first small screen appearance became an instant hit with the audiences and as such became the hearth throb of college goers at that point in time. The story isn’t much different even today. He got his real break with the Hema Malini directorial debut. However his film Deewana was released before making it his first film to released at the box office. He starred in many other small roles which was soon followed by a hit Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992). However his performance were far from making a considerable impact on the audiences.
The turning point in his career were the films Darr and Baazigar both in 1993 that saw him play contrasting  roles of a psychopath and then a romantic hero. However he stamped his supremacy on the Indian box office with Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenghe which released in the October of  1995 and holds the record of most running days at a single screen theatre in Marathi Mandir, Mumbai. Success came to SRK and he followed it up with successful films like  Kuch  kuch hota hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (1999), Devdas in 2001 that  gave him both national and international acclaim. However he did have bad outings in the theatres and failed to make a considerable impact with films like Ashoka and Chupke Chupke that grossed average collections at the box office. Shah Rukh followed this with three successful films that include in a row. These include Main Hoon Na (2004), Chak De and OM Shanti OM both in the same calendar year 2007 followed by a deep message centric film My Name is Khan (2010). He over the years has had a mixed time but has delivered with strong performance he has consolidated his performances i Ra. One with that of Don 2. In this career graph Shah Rukh has claimed more awards than any other actor in the industry and he is still game for many more.

Shah Rukh Upcoming films- Shah Rukh next eagerly awaited Jab Tak Hai Jaan that is set to release in  14th November and produced by Yash Raj Films. The other films waiting in the pipe include Rohit Shetty’s  Chennai Express and his film director Farah Khan “Happy New Year” expected for release in the late  months of 2012 and early 2013.
Shah Rukh IPL Team- he bought the Kolkata IPL team and became the first film star in bollywood to own an IPL team. He has always cheered his team on. This is also led him in the controversy in the recently concluded season. The result of which he was banned from participating in an IPL match at Mumbai. However as his films his team consolidated this with their first title triumph in the fourth season.

Brand SRK- SRK has evolved himself as the most successful brand in the box office and at the same time the most advertisible brand. Shah Rukh Khan Philanthropy- Mr. Khan has been very low profile in terms of his charities and other burse contributions.  Keeping in tune with the words of the holy Quran he has kept most of his good doings away from the public eye and media gaze. However he has tendered aid and support for various causes that include the AIDS patients and in particular cancer patients reminiscing the same pain his father suffered and subsequently succumbed to. He also actively involved himself in the efforts of the National Rural Health Mission. He has also been actively a apart of various media projects to reach out to people of various walks of society. Be it his show with the Jawans on the Atari border or the HELP! Telethon Concert concert the was that was held for the support of the Tsunami victims of 2004. Apart from that Shah Rukh also helped in raiding funds by adopting five villages near Bitakkanika National park in a bid to offer support to the cause of harnessing  Solar energy for electrification. He has also teamed with Amitabh Bachchan, Resul Pookutty and  Judy Dench in a support cause for the help and support of underprivileged children in various parts of India. During the premier of his film Ra.One Sharukh along with co actors Kareena  Kapoor and Arjun Rampal were part of a charity dinner of the proceeds of which were for the benefit of the  children and workshop for deservant children.

Shah Rukh the Performer- Shah Rukh the performer has dominated the screen and has been a star stage performer for almost a decade and a half. His stage performances and jigs onb stage have been appreciated by one and all beyond mention.  His first mega stage performance was for Asha Bhosle in Moments in time in Malaysia. ShahRukh Khan’s Controversy-  The MCA banned the Superstar for  misbehavior at the Wankhede Stadium wherefore he has been banned for a term of five years.  Another major controversy was with Salman. At one point in time both were regarded as friends and their tempers flared at a birthday party of Katrina Kaif. They still remain as enemies of each other.  The star have since being taken digs at each other. Sharukh Khan linkup with his co star Priyanka Chopra and this has marred both individuals.  SRK and Aamir Khan were embroiled in a heated controversy when both were exchanged a heated exchange of words and incidentally Aamir and Salman are good friends.  ShahRukh was detained and at the International twice in his career.  However the biggest controversy that embroiled the actor was when he is said to have manhandled the Shirish Kunder. However after that both ShahRukh Khan and Shrish kunder Made peace with ach other and apologized for the incident.
